ABOUT ME –
Rutwa Otia
The recipes in this blog represents the India that I came from, the India that I’ve lived in and the India that I brought with me to the US. Food joins cities, states and countries in a way no other means does. This blog is my journey showcasing the food I ate growing up and exploring the new cuisines that I got introduced to, since the big move.
The easiest way to get through people’s hearts is food. Food connects everyone, being it a conversation over a cup of chai or fritters in the rain. No matter what the occasion, if it involves food I’m down.
I can eat panipuri for lunch, brunch and dinner with the infamous lasooni Paani! Seriously, I can! Beat that!
Through this blog, I hope to inspire my readers to prepare and eat home cooked meals consisting of healthy~ish recipes simmered in lots of love.
Experiments + errors + chaos = imperfectly perfect recipes. Here’s to presenting all of that and still save time for those two loads of laundry from last week, or spend time with your toddlers.
Oh and I can live on snacks all day everyday! Be it sev mamra, tikkhi poori, chakri, chevdo, dry kachori! Please feel free to stop me right here right now!
Starting this blog is a part and parcel of my constant experimental approach in the kitchen and I’m so excited for you guys to be a part of this flavorful ride.
P.S. My home smells of 50% garlic and 50% coffee beans 100% of the time. Also,I can hold longer conversations if keywords such as ‘CALIFORNIA’ and ‘COFFEE’ are uttered.
