This green condiment commonly known as Mirchi tsa thetcha could also be named as a green phenomena in my dictionary! Paired up best with any bhakhri (I prefer Pithla bhakhri) or served simply as a side dish, this thetcha will not disappoint.

Prep time : 5 mins | Cook time : 10 mins

Ingredients:

  • 25 indian green chillies
  • 15 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 ginger
  • Handful of coriander
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste

Directions:

  1. Throw all the roughly chopped ingredients in a mortar and pestle, add a pinch of salt and make a paste out of it.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of oil ( I use avocado or olive oil) to a pan and let the oil get heated up.
  3. Add the Mixture from the mortar and pestle into the hot oil pan.
  4. Saute the mixture on medium heat for 5 minutes.
  5. Saute the mixture on low heat for 3 minutes.
  6. Saute the mixture on medium heat for another 2 minutes.
  7. Follow Steps 4,5,6 exactly as stated for best results.
